Fit decides everything. An earbud that does not seal will sound thin and fall out on a run, and no amount of driver quality fixes it — try the different tip sizes in the box before you decide the sound is wrong.

Battery is quoted two ways: hours in the buds, and total hours including the case. The buds figure is the one that matters day to day; six or more is comfortable.

If you take calls outdoors in Bahrain's wind, look for models that name their call-noise handling specifically. Playback specs tell you nothing about how you sound to the other person.
