What size TV do you need?
Measure from where you sit to where the screen will be. For a 4K TV, a comfortable distance is about 1 to 1.5 times the screen's diagonal:
- Up to 2 m: 50"–55"
- 2–2.5 m: 65"
- 2.5–3 m: 75"
- 3 m or more: 83"–100"
Screen size is measured corner to corner, not across. Check the TV's full width and stand footprint against your wall or cabinet before you order. A 65" TV is about 1.45 m wide. Our TV size guide goes into more detail.
OLED, QNED, QLED or Mini LED?
- OLED (LG OLED evo C6 and B6): each pixel makes its own light, so blacks are truly black. Best for films and darker rooms.
- Mini LED and QNED (LG QNED evo, TCL C6K, Skyworth QD-Mini LED): thousands of small backlights get brighter than OLED, which suits bright living rooms with big windows.
- QLED (Hisense, Skyworth, Zenet): strong colour at a lower price.
- 4K UHD (LG NU and UA series, CHiQ): the value choice for bedrooms and second rooms.
For football and gaming
For fast sport, PlayStation 5 or Xbox, look for a native 120 Hz or 144 Hz panel and HDMI 2.1 ports. Several LG QNED evo and OLED models run at 144 Hz with variable refresh rate (VRR). The refresh rate is listed in each product's specifications.
Smart TV systems
LG TVs run webOS, TCL and CHiQ run Google TV, and Hisense runs VIDAA. All support the main streaming apps. If one app matters to you, check it is supported on the exact model before you buy.
Sound
Thin TVs have small speakers, and a soundbar is the easiest upgrade. If you plan to add one, check the TV has HDMI eARC. Prefer a brand? See the LG or Skyworth range.

TV questions
How much does a TV cost in Bahrain?
At Switch On, 4K smart TVs start from about BD 115 for a 50" model. A 55" QNED is around BD 225–280, and 65" TVs run from about BD 190 up to about BD 840 for OLED. Screens of 85" and up start from about BD 500, and the largest OLED models reach about BD 2,200. Current prices are on each product.
What is the best TV size for a living room?
In most Bahrain living rooms the sofa is 2–3 m from the wall, so 65" or 75" is usually right. Use the size list above.
OLED or QNED: which is better?
OLED gives deeper blacks and is better in a dark room. QNED and Mini LED get brighter, which suits a sunny room. Both are 4K.
Which TVs are best for PS5 and gaming?
Choose a 120 Hz or 144 Hz model with HDMI 2.1 and VRR, such as LG's OLED evo C-series or the 144 Hz LG QNED evo models.
How fast is TV delivery?
Usually 1–3 working days anywhere in Bahrain.
Can I return a TV?
Yes, within 7 days of delivery if it is unused and you have the invoice, under our refund policy.
