How to choose: TVs

Shop TVs in Bahrain at Switch On, from a 50" 4K smart TV for a bedroom to a 100" Mini LED for the majlis. Compare LG OLED evo and QNED, Hisense, TCL, Skyworth and CHiQ televisions side by side, with the full model code on every listing so you can check the exact specification. We deliver across Bahrain, usually within 1–3 working days.

What size TV do you need?

Measure from where you sit to where the screen will be. For a 4K TV, a comfortable distance is about 1 to 1.5 times the screen's diagonal:

Up to 2 m: 50"–55"
2–2.5 m: 65"
2.5–3 m: 75"
3 m or more: 83"–100"

Screen size is measured corner to corner, not across. Check the TV's full width and stand footprint against your wall or cabinet before you order. A 65" TV is about 1.45 m wide. Our TV size guide goes into more detail.

OLED, QNED, QLED or Mini LED?

OLED (LG OLED evo C6 and B6): each pixel makes its own light, so blacks are truly black. Best for films and darker rooms.
Mini LED and QNED (LG QNED evo, TCL C6K, Skyworth QD-Mini LED): thousands of small backlights get brighter than OLED, which suits bright living rooms with big windows.
QLED (Hisense, Skyworth, Zenet): strong colour at a lower price.
4K UHD (LG NU and UA series, CHiQ): the value choice for bedrooms and second rooms.

For football and gaming

For fast sport, PlayStation 5 or Xbox, look for a native 120 Hz or 144 Hz panel and HDMI 2.1 ports. Several LG QNED evo and OLED models run at 144 Hz with variable refresh rate (VRR). The refresh rate is listed in each product's specifications.

Smart TV systems

LG TVs run webOS, TCL and CHiQ run Google TV, and Hisense runs VIDAA. All support the main streaming apps. If one app matters to you, check it is supported on the exact model before you buy.

Sound

Thin TVs have small speakers, and a soundbar is the easiest upgrade. If you plan to add one, check the TV has HDMI eARC. Prefer a brand? See the LG or Skyworth range.
