Top-loading machines from LG, Krome, Zen and Midea. For front-loaders, see Front-Loading Washers.
Top-loaders suit anyone who wants a cheaper machine, a shorter cycle and no bending. You can also add a forgotten item mid-wash, which front-loaders will not allow once the drum is sealed.
The trade-offs are real: they use more water, are rougher on delicate fabrics, and you cannot stack a dryer on top. If space is tight and laundry is heavy, that last point often decides it.
Capacity here runs from 7kg for a couple up to 20kg semi-automatic machines. Run a descaling cycle every couple of months — Bahrain's water is hard, and scale is what kills the heating element.
